A software company built around real problems

Sentinelware Holdings is a South African software and IT company. We build software for businesses that need systems that fit, not platforms that almost work.

About Sentinelware

Software, designed and built for the way you actually work.

Most of the businesses we meet are not short on ambition. They are short on the systems that should be supporting that ambition. Tools that should automate are still done by hand. Reports that should be live are still pieced together at the end of the month. Customer experiences that should feel modern still feel clunky.

We exist to close that gap. We design and build software that fits the operation, holds up under real use, and keeps improving over time.

What we do, in one line

Custom business systems, e-commerce, websites, automation, and AI - delivered as proper, production software.

EduScola is our flagship school management product. Beyond it, we are set up to design and build systems for retail, service, logistics, healthcare, finance, and enterprise teams that need software built around the way they actually work.

The problem we keep seeing

Most businesses we meet are held back by the systems running underneath them, not by ideas.

1

Spreadsheets and WhatsApp doing the work of real software.

2

Off-the-shelf tools that don't fit the workflow or cost too much.

3

Data scattered across systems with no clean operational view.

4

Manual admin eating hours that should go into growth.

Our story

How Sentinelware grew from a single problem worth solving into a full-service software company.

Chapter 01

We started by listening

Sentinelware started because we kept hearing the same kinds of problems from very different industries: outdated systems, scattered data, manual admin, and tools that did not fit how teams actually worked.

Chapter 02

We built our first product

Schools were a particularly clear example. Learners were falling behind and parents only found out when it was already too late. That is why we built EduScola, our flagship school management system.

Chapter 03

We grew into a full software company

EduScola proved what good software can do in a sector that has been under-served. From there, Sentinelware has expanded into custom business software, e-commerce, websites, automation, dashboards, and AI integrations.

Chapter 04

We are still doing the work

Today we are a focused team of developers, designers, and problem-solvers, ready to design and build production-grade software for businesses across multiple industries.

Who we are

A focused team of engineers, designers, and operators who care about the work that ships.

The team

We are developers and problem-solvers, not salespeople in disguise. The same people who scope your project are the ones writing the code and shipping the system.

Where we are based

Sentinelware Holdings is a South African company. We understand the local market - cost pressure, connectivity, load shedding, and the realities of running a business here - and we build with that context in mind.

B-BBEE Level 1

We are a Level 1 B-BBEE contributor. Working with us supports your procurement and transformation goals without compromising on engineering quality.

How we work

A simple set of principles that has not changed since we started.

Principle

Hands-on, not hands-off

We are involved in every project we deliver. You will not get pushed to a junior team after the first meeting.

Principle

Honest scoping

If we cannot do something well, or if the budget does not match the ambition, we say so upfront. Better an honest no than a quiet over-promise.

Principle

Real ownership

We treat the systems we build like our own. If it breaks, we fix it. If it can be better, we say so.

Principle

Built to last

We choose technologies, patterns, and partners that will still make sense in five years, not ones that look exciting on a slide deck.

What we believe

The things we want a Sentinelware project to feel like, every time.

Approach
Practical
